So much to learn

Maybe we could sit down and talk without a fight.
Maybe you could let me hold your hand tonight.
I just want to feel that love, we used to have.
Just give me a chance,
I’ll sit down and listen to your problems.

It’s just so hard when your young,
trying so hard to find out who we are.
Maybe we chose a difficult road,
but I would never turn back.
I’ve learnt too much to regret it.

It seems like it was just yesterday,
we were teenage lovers at play.
Holding hands and kissing every chance we got.
I never expected for everything to get so hot.
So much guilt, and all they could say is how.
Things changed, we have responsibility now.

We’ve gone through fighting, so much jealousy.
All I really want is for you to be happy.
Maybe I could take care of the baby,
letting you have a break from motherhood.
I have a lot to catch up on, with fatherhood.

I really do love you still.
Maybe I don’t always understand how you feel.
There’s just so much for me to learn.
So much to learn about life.
So much to learn about love.
So much to learn about fatherhood.
So much to learn about, being a good husband.
