The Carnation

One day I had a carnation.
As walking down the street,
I saw a humbled old lady,
sitting on a park bench.
I sat next to her and gave her a big smile.
Then giving her the carnation,
I told her how special she was.

A tear rolled down her cheek.
Then she told me,
I made the highlight of her week.
It's hard to believe a simple act of kindness,
Could change a persons outlook... on life.
So if you ever have a carnation,
look for that special someone,
who looks like they need some attention.
